Raise a glass of Sparkling Lavender Ice Tea  to the three-day weekend!

Memorial Day marks the unofficial  start of summer and many of you are planning backyard cookouts. 

I’ve pulled together a few fun extras  to get your Memorial Day Weekend off to a rockin’ start!

So from tabletops to totes with tunes to the little white dress…

  here’s what’s on my MDW wish list.

And now for the pretty Memorial Day Weekend sips:

I used two Tablespoons of dry lavender from my favorite local lavender farm  – Woodinville Lavender.

I added a few sprigs of fresh mint and lemon balm from our kitchen garden.

I brought 6 cups of H20 to a simmer and plopped in the herbs.

Simmer for 5 minutes let sit for another 5, strain and chill.

Make a quick batch of simple syrup: 1 cup sugar to 1 cup water, simmer until it dissolves, cool & chill.

Add ice to the lavender tea, sweeten to taste with the simple syrup and add a splash of bubbly
