Fresh Start

Love to do this, clear the

kitchen counters,

wipe the slate clean and

start anew.

 Nothing big,

simply want to rethink & rearrange

our kitchen pieces…

and a clean slate is a

good place to start.

  I’m feeling ‘French’ here,

 French

lavender, both the herb and the

color palette. So I

add back, a French

pot with French lavender. Our old

dessert etagere makes

the cut, holding

a pretty French

foie gras tureen and this

Santa Monica

Flea Market

find. A pewter tray ready

for wine and beverages; lit by

the simplest of

votive holders, an old diamond patterned

canning jar. Our large, dark wood

pedestal, holds everyday

chargers and a leather bound book for

jotting down recipe ideas.

 A favorite

black pot sits on

the stove.

A baking corner, with

measuring spoons handy and

pretties.

 A simple, white,

French pedestal

holds baking

essentials. I’m testing recipes

this week.

 And the coffee station

is stocked.

Just a little freshening up in

2012.
