And you’re invited!

A family affair ~

Merci to: Carol, for graciously hosting,

Julie & Co.,  for the delectable menu & games,

Linda,  for lending her sewing prowess

and Stefanie, for being the beautiful ‘mom to be’

and…for capturing the day, so gorgeously, on camera.

We pull back the curtain,

on this French  inspired gathering.

~ Entrée Vous

A muslin drape and

petite burlap door pillow,

set the subtle

French  tone, at the door,

as does the simple burlap banner beyond.

I love nuance.

I love party themes, that reveal  themselves,

The more you look…

The more

you

see.

Crystal, Candlelight & ‘Fireflies’ ~

The handsome black sideboard,

is aglow with wax tapers & glass.

‘Fireflies,’ captured in mismatched mason jars,

bathe the celebration

in magical light.

Above, a muslin chain garland drapes the mirror,

accented with fragrant freesia and

sweet baby’s breath.

Petite

cupcakes,

with faded pink, rose flavored  frosting

and French  dragees, wait in the wings,

along with my version,

of French…

‘cookies

& milk.’

Vellum winged butterflies, dusted with glitter…

create a ‘mobile’  of sorts,

hung from the chandelier.

And sweet gifts, pinned in a canvas ‘shadow box’

make pretty wall art.

The tables are draped in white cloth

and dressed in simple brown paper runners.

Each stamped, with French words and dotted with vellum butterflies.

Petite pink paper pedestals, dance down the tables,

holding dainty cakes,

crowned, with regal French  newspaper cupcake toppers.

Mark it with a ‘B’ ~

Inexpensive vases are

dressed in burlap

And spilling over with

‘Fleurs.’

While other pretty containers need no embellishment.

Sweet cone ‘parting gifts’

made from yesterday’s French news,

are there for the taking.

And the party buffet,

is marked with tiny vellum flags.

Our beautiful guests of honor,

mom ‘to be’ & ‘big sister’ to be, take it all in.

As does, the latest member of our family,

the gorgeous ‘Miss Molly.’

Rest well, sweet baby.

You’ll have company…

Soon.

Au revior,

Auntie ‘M’
