ALE Holiday Home Tour

ALE Holiday Home Tour

This dining room is overflowing with delicious eye candy for your Holiday gatherings!

I have been decorating for a great cause this past week. Today is THE day for the Assistance

League of the Eastside Holiday Home Tour!

The amazing Cindy, from Haley’s cottage reached out to me and my very

talented friend Melaine, of  My Sweet Savannah to help her decorate one of five beautiful

Homes in Woodinville, Washington!

This cool dining room was our blank canvas

and we did our best to create a little holiday magic!

Keeping it REAL, always my thing!

The homeowners space was already lovely  but it got a gorgeous holiday makeover!

Check out the holiday transformation! The dining room is now a mini Orangerie!

It’s a holiday conservatory where hints of orange trees, amaryllis and

paperwhites are protected from the Christmas cold.

Here are some of the other elements used to create our Christmas Orangerie:

The Holiday Table ~

Furniture pieces from Haley’s Cottage like a pretty bench and

chairs  give the dining room that eclectic feel!

The centerpiece is a worn wood

dough trough “planted” with amaryllis and paperwhites. Ornaments

moss and greenery are tucked in.

REAL holiday oranges are turned into ornaments by simply popping in

an ornament top and adding ribbon! {LOVE}

Everything pops against the beautiful black table runner and napkins from Crown Linen!

Florals float above the tabletop! Check out the unexpected hanging floral pom of fresh

roses, cedar and holly.

The Holiday sideboard ~

I brought in a few pieces from home for this, a big glass jug vase, vintage Italian

glass and brass tray and stacked vintage glassware.  French bubbles of course!

A dessert pedestal holds pretty vintage oranaments.

The Holiday Extras ~

The Holiday Hutch

AND this dapper deer almost steals the show draped in a boxwood scarf and sash!

And this is just the dining room of our holiday home tour house!

1,500 people will tour five homes all decked out today in my corner of the

country. I’m excited and honored to take part in the ALE Holiday Home Tour.

The opportunity to decorate for a great cause gives even more meaning to

the holiday season. It truly is the most wonderful time of the year!
