G A T H E R
Whether you are gathering for Thanksgiving or Friendsgiving…
There is STILL time to create a swoon worthy last minute tablescape!
You can pick up all of the elements you need right at your local market!
For me, it’s all about keeping it REAL this Thanksgiving with
beautiful greenery, seasonal fruits and veggies!
A trip to my local Metropolitan Market yielded a still life worthy combo:
Ripe, juicy pears, citrus with the leaves still intact, glossy red pomegranates and artichokes.
I searched out florals in rich shades of deep burgundy and soft peachy pink.
For the greenery, I opted for several varieties of eucalyptus. Then I added a mix of
metals from copper to pewter.
Here is the reveal for this super quick & easy Thanksgiving table test run!
I plopped down my last remaining Fall gourd right in the middle of the table and
tucked flowers and greenery into the well of the pumpkin, which I filled with a bit of water.
I bundled up stems of eucalyptus tied with twine and casually laid them
out like an ALL natural table runner. You can do this an hour or so before guests arrive and
the greenery will stay fresh most of the night. Eucalyptus is great looking as it dries too!
I tucked in the fruit and veggies amongst the greens
and popped a few flowers into florist vials hidden beneath the leaves.
An adorable mini pear is perched at each place setting and
fresh herbs that dovetail the flavors of the Thanksgiving meal are tucked into napkins
which are folded into the easiest pocket fold ever and tied with baker’s twine.
The table still needs some tweaking but like I said, this is just a quick test run.
The real thing will be revealed this afternoon on KING 5 Seattle! Hope you tune in
during the 4 to 5 pm hour!
I am so excited to be live streaming on KING 5 this afternoon along with Metropolitan Market.
I’ll be talking last minute tablescape and entertaining ideas for grownups and kids alike!
Met Market is talking turkey, stuffing, pies, all the sides!
