From a citrus EXPLOSION to all natural egg dyes…
here are a few easy & breezy DIY ideas to try as seen on King 5 and in 425 Magazine.
* How about going fresh squeezed and treating your guests to a
help yourself mimosa & blooms bar!
Champagne + blood orange, heirloom orange and pink grapefruit are a great mimosa combo.
Plus, the sliced citrus is mouthwateringly gorgeous set out in a tray!
* For the blooms, take advantage of great deals on tulip bunches right now and color coordinate your flowers
to the citrusy hues. Invite your guests to select a few stems &
create mini bouquets {in recycled French jam jars} at their place settings. {The small bouquets double as
a pretty guest takeaway!}
* When you’re dyeing your Easter eggs, consider using all natural veggie
dyes made from quartered & simmered beets and onion skins!
Just quarter 3 red or yellow beets (separately) and simmer for 20 minutes in
4 cups of water, cool and add a tablespoon of white vinegar to set the color.
* Create simple paper Easter baskets with craft store trim & baker’s twine. Add wheatgrass with a
milk chocolate chick on a stick, dyed eggs or blooms to the basket.

* Create an edible centerpiece with a cool crudités tray featuring
unusual veggies like watermelon radishes and rainbow carrots!
