I’m creating a little fanciful fall magic with an autumn place setting I’m pulling
together for a very pretty fall inspired event! I really like ‘pretty’.
{So excited! Can’t wait to share the details! Hope you’ll check back!}
AND it’s not impossible…for a plain orange squash
to become a chalked and gilded Cinderella-like beauty.
Here’s the simple DIY How-To!
I brushed on a little Annie Sloan chalk paint in yummy shades of
soft pink & beige. I chose ‘Antoinette’ for this pink beauty
and ‘Old Ochre’ for the acorn squash.
( You can find the chalk paint on line or at Haley’s Cottage!)
Once the coat dried, I lightly applied a little glue & gilding.
Love working with metal leaf!
Hit it with clear acrylic coating to seal the deal and viola….
Fall fairyland magic?…
It’s possible!
These are G~O~R~G~E~O~U~S Monica! I can see that I now must pick up some Annie Sloan paint!
Also, I’m very behind, but I LOVE your new bedroom coffee bar! It fits the space very nicely (but I’m sure you planned it that way) and is truly beautifully done, corbels and all! Nice that it serves as a stop for a night cap as well.

I love the gilding on the pumpkin. And the paint color is so lovely I can’t wait to see more of your entire tablescape.
