Let me tell ya, when they call YOUR kids name, you get this
rush of adrenaline, goose bumps and you are going to want to celebrate!
So, from graduation floral ideas with an alphabet twist…
to putting your grads name… in LIGHTS, here are a few graduation party
ideas that will move your party to the head of the class!
G is for GRAD! Totally crushing on these marquee lights from American Crafts
(available at Ben Franklin Crafts & Frames Redmond). Here’s what I love. They are showy and add a note of GLAM to your
grad celebration! Plus, they are battery operated and you can customize the color thanks to a handy dandy template!
{Um, so this is what our dining room table looks like when I am in the
throws of a cool project! Yikes! NEED a studio! }
Anyway, here are a few other pretty graduation ideas I shared on KING 5:
A craft store hat box turned graduation cutlery centerpiece,
Party water bottles personalized with DIY computer labels (thank you Monica Howard)
and craft store stickers,
DIY photo booth props and…
Create a hashtag for your graduation party! Encourage guests to use the # when they upload to say, Instagram
You’ll be able to click on the # and see all of the party pics in one feed!
Go BIG or go home, 3-foot helium ballon anchored down with a
restaurant style menu card holder so you can show off your grad.
(YEP, that’s my boy!)
Check out the DIY tissue paper tassel trim!!
{LOVE}
Two tassel options here:
1) Martha Stewart fringe maker available at craft stores
2) Pre-made David Tutera tissue tassels
that you roll together – available at party & crafts stores
For the Grad Party Menu, I kept it fresh and kept the proportions small.
( Graduation parties are typically an open house type event.
You want to be able to re-stock the food options to keep things fresh! Often there are
several grad parties in one day, so keep the proportions small!)
I went with:
* Lemonade stand with all the extras including: fresh fruit & berry garnishes and straws
* Give the lemande a yummy twist with raspberry puree or lavender sugar
(Add a splash of vodka or champagne for the 21 and over crowd!)
* Pretty salad course layered in individual mason jars to keep it fresh
How pretty are my garden Nasturtiums as a salad topper!
* Great chili recipe made the day ahead and served straight off the stove in small mugs or china cups.
(There is nothing like comfort food & serving it right off the stove top makes guests feel at home!)
* Cupcakes with emoji picks (FUN)
* Oh the Places you Will Go Candy Bar featuring SMARTIES
Hat’s off & CONGRATS to the Class of 2015!
Wow! Over the top, helpful and creativel Grad ideas. Caps off to you Monica!
