Away in a Manger ~
It’s the first impression,
as you enter our home this Christmas season,
a Holiday Nativity.
A humble homage,
to
the blessed birth.
But this nativity, is made all the more
precious to our family because it belongs to mom.
It hasn’t been out & about for several years.
There is another box of figures somewhere...but I’m
honored to be the keeper of these pieces, this Christmas,
pieces…our mom patiently collected each holiday season,
from Petram’s Five and Dime, in Bellevue, Washington.
She would tuck in fresh greens
from our pasture and later, lights
and it was the first impression as you entered our
old Bellevue home. Can’t wait for her to see it.
Wishing you a
blessed
holiday season,
Made me cry a little. So sweet. I completely remember them. You’ve done a beautiful job with those sweet pieces. Please let us know when she sees it!
I cried a little too, Lisa. Thank you and We will let you know…

This is very special. I can picture the fresh fir tree with the fuchsia ornaments as well.
I remember the exact spot where Nana would display this every Christmas! This is so special! XOXO
How beautiful. I love how you have it displayed. The wiseman looks to be the oldest of the pieces. It made me wonder if your mom had an older set at one time and he is a part of that group. The lights and greens are just perfect.
