‘Tis the Season…

…for gorgeous…glimmering Holiday Trimmings!

Inspired by an invitation to open our doors …for the Celebrations Holiday Home Tour…we ‘Decked the Halls’…in French Blues and Rich Browns…

Layered in…fragrant Paperwhites, Hydrangeas, Eucalyptus & Amaryllis…

And merrily ushered in…gorgeous Magnolia…Box and Bay…wreaths, swags and garlands…

Next…we added countless treasured ornaments & herbs…

Eight monogrammed place cards…

Three real noble firs…

Two embellished fireplace mantles…

One velvet & tulle ‘kid’ cocoa bar and yes….

…a partridge in a pear tree…

On ‘The Night Before Home Tour’…there was EVEN…a mouse ~

Time to roll out the holiday spirit…’au natural’….La Famiglia Style…beginnng with the ‘Secret’ Sunken Garden and our front door!

La Famiglia Holiday Home Tour ~ Chapter one

Making an Entrance ~

Harlequin lights….with their elegant diamond pattern (a long-time favorite of mine!)…crisscrossing the ‘Walled’ Sunken Courtyard Garden…greet you…accented with ‘medallion’ ornaments (Thank you Robert ~ ‘The Light Man’) …As does the trickling of water from a mossy fountain and a stout French Blue urn…filled with freshly trimmed tree boughs…the bottom rung of our 12 foot plus Noble Fir…that wouldn’t quite fit…in the stand…(don’t ~ even ~ ask!)…but nothing here…is discarded…

A pair of Luscious Boxwood wreaths…

dressed up in…

beautiful French Blue and Brown ribbon…with a hint of muted silver…welcome…as does…

A rustic hammered copper outdoor entry table…adorned with a fresh cedar and eucalyptus garland…

…fragrant paperwhites…an elegant feathered friend…and a subtle sentiment….

…hinting…that you have been granted entrance…into a hidden holiday world…Shhhh….

The understated wintery scene…is warmed by the glow of a French style mirrored lantern…

…dressed in satin & an old pewter bell.

The sound of Holiday carols echo through the courtyard…Offering a little something for each of the senses…The heady scent of fresh fir & cedar, eucalyptus & paperwhites…The gentle sound of the fountain & carols…the greenery and lights…with just a hint of sparkle…and I can almost…taste Christmas Dinner! I hope it feels effortless and you feel welcome…Can’t wait to open our doors!
