Sweet Shadow Gift Box
I’m having so much fun
helping out with an upcoming
French themed baby shower.
Or should I say, ‘bebe!’
I thought it would be darling to give a gift,
that comes in a frame,
instead of a box or bag.
A gift…
which conveniently doubles as
wall art for the party!
I picked up this 18” by 24” canvas at 2 for 1 sale!
The reverse side works wonderfully,
as a little ‘shadow box.’
With a nod toward newborn innocence …
I kept it simple,
kept it sweet.
The staples are hidden by faded pink velvet ric rac trim.
The wood is left bare.
No glass.
A branch, clipped from our garden,
serves as a humble ‘hanger’
for this dainty newborn sweater.
A butterfly & velvet clip hangs from a wooden pin.
Thought it had that certain
French flair.
And a small nest,
with one pretty pink egg
is pinned up by simple hem tape ribbon.
I’m thinking this ‘shadow box’ would be adorable,
hanging on the wall,
at our gathering.
What do you think?
It’s also,
my gift…
in a frame.
Love reading your comments.
