Ringing in the New Year!
Who doesn’t love a little
New Year’s Eve revelry…
especially, retro revelry in
shades of pink & gray!
I adore pink champagne….and so I created a
NYE party sideboard to match!
It’s all soft pink velvet & vintage clock faces…
after all, New Year’s is
about the countdown to midnight, right?
Tick-tock.
Sparklers on ice (faux ice) are sure to ignite fun
conversation and childhood memories.
More party extras with
retro champagne glasses,
pink straws for sipping and
an assortment of real watch faces,
turned glass tags.
Tick-tock.
Champagne cocktail anyone?…
with sugar cubes soaked in
lavender bitters or
that retro fave ~ Kir Royale.
However, if you prefer…how about tiny
bottles of bubbly, for one,
in individual ice buckets.
Oh, and don’t forget the
champagne bubbles
of another sort,
Our NYE table includes shapely note cards for
writing down all of those
New Year’s resolutions
I so intend to keep and
fun confetti.
I’m keeping our
NYE menu
relaxed & retro with:
* Cocktail sausages slathered in honey, orange
marmalade, soy sauce & sesame oil, baked & skewered
* Yummy cheese fondue with white wine, brandy & dry mustard…
brioche cubes, sliced apples & blanched cauliflower for dipping.
And for dessert…
Oh my…The Bombe!
It’s a very retro, sorbet bombe!
I settled on pretty layers
of raspberry pink & coconut!
This ought to add some serious sparkle to
our NYE celebration.
Can’t wait to slice into it!
It’s almost time!
Midnight is coming.
Tick-tock.
Soon we will
all be singing a rousing
chorus of ‘Auld Lang Syne’…
Wishing you all a very
Happy New Year &
I look forward to seeing
you, in 2013!
Cheers,
I want to come! You make every occasion magical!
Looks like a fabulous party! The pink is so festive. All best wishes for the year ahead!!
