Step Inside the Chic NEW Nordstrom Habitant Lounge!

TGIF! Just in time for the weekend…

As promised, I’m giving you a stylish  virtual taste and tour of the new  Nordstrom Habitant Lounge 

in Bellevue, Washington. It’s the first of its kind for Nordstrom and after one visit I have to say, I’m a fan girl . 



I asked photographer Stefanie Knowlton to grab her camera, so we can take you

along on this fashionable  tasting tour. Here we go!

The new lounge has a cool, modern-industrial vibe. It’s chic yet comfortable with a nice 



wash of warmth thanks to the wood fronted bar and seating.



The Habitant Lounge  features handmade cocktails with gorgeous garnishes.  

Runway models and designer names like Marc Jacobs and Helmut Lang flash on the television screens, 

flanking the bar, reminding guests of  Nordstrom’s  first love…fashion. 



The cocktails at Habitant have earthy  names like, the Blueberry Lavender Martini 

and Basil Cucumber Cooler. If you’ve been reading my blog, you know I love

 handmade cocktails with herb infused  simple syrups.  So, when manager Dan Yeisley 

started talking honey rosemary syrups  and such … how could we not?

We taste-tested two of the cocktails just for you!

  I ordered the blueberry lavender number …

Stefanie went with the Amelia.  Two for two, in our  book.

 As for the small plates…we nibbled on the Neapolitan toast with freshly oven roasted

tomatoes, micro-basil and cheese. Delish!

The farmstead cheese platter  was beautiful too with

Habitant’s own homemade crackers and mascarpone, sprinkled with

honey dust and an elegant side of confit.


Here’s the thing, the Habitant Lounge  is situated on the

second floor of the Bellevue Nordstrom,



just steps away from the very fashionable collections of women’s clothing, making it especially

convenient for us gals  to slide in before or after a little shopping therapy. The lounge seats 39

and there is a steady flow of traffic on this day. In fact, it seems as though the lounge has

 always  been here. I call that…

a good fit.  Check it out. You just might want to inhabit the new
