French Seaside Tablescape ~
The summer season is
officially here and it’s time to
hit the water. At our
house, Summer comes
by land or by
lake…so I’ve
set the summer table for
a little
apres beach time
fun! Our summer table
is relaxed and
earthy with a French
seaside vibe.
Rattan chargers
and
silver
starfish set the scene. At each
place setting,
ticking totes…
that my Sister
Linda
and I made,
hold petite
breadsticks and fragrant sprigs
of rosemary from my garden.
A simple cardstock
menu card featuring
‘fruits de mer’
holds cutlery
and
French lavender.
Our old,
wooden
French bottle carrier,
filled with glass
& shells makes
for an
earthy centerpiece.
Cork & shells
top a white
French pedestal
and petite olive trees add
to the French
feel. A very
old,
French baguette basket
is filled with
grissini &
a vintage mason jar
holds shells from
our vacations.
Just beyond the table,
I dressed our
hutch, sans
glass & doors,
with a bottle
garland, inexpensive
flowers,
linen and
shells.
The summer table is
set….
would you
come
to
to dinner?
Makes me want to put my feet in the sand………I’ll be right over! Lovely, lovely nature inspired table! Love all the elements and textures! And, the menu ain’t bad either!
