I’ve been busy creating unconventional party pieces for the 4th of July! I’m still
rocking the good old red, white and blue but with a twist.
Not a flag in sight…yet. L o v e Old Glory but I wanted pieces I
could keep up, long after the Fourth fireworks fade.
Like this fun Fourth of July inspired tray. It’s actually a 12″ x 12″ shadow box I
picked up at my local craft store, Ben
Franklin Crafts and Frames.

I found this great 6.5″ x 6.5″ napkin with a nautical vibe and thought it would be the
perfect patriotic tray backdrop. I flipped the shadow box insert to create the depth I needed
for the tray. I folded out the napkin
and peeled off the backing, making it single-ply.

Then I grabbed the Mod Podge and coated the glass with a
thin, even layer of goop.

Next, I carefully laid the napkin, right side up, centered on the glass and
gently pressed out any bubbles. I Allowed the glue to dry. Trimmed any excess paper and
popped the glass back into the tray frame.

Ready to roll on the 4th of July and beyond!
