Inspired by Jamie Oliver…..(love him!)

Luscious Dark Chocolate infused with Sour Cherries & Vin Santo….

Dusted with fabulous coatings….

….Invite your guests to indulge & make their own….delicious Truffle Treats!

It’s nearly New Year’s…this simple chocolate sweet course ~

is sure to delight!

Pick up…

10 and a half ounces of good dark chocolate

and 14 ounces of heavy cream…

Heat up the cream…short of boiling…

Whisk in a good tablespoon or so of butter

Meanwhile…mash a handful of Sour dried cherries…

bathed in a little heated Vin Santo

& then strain.

Whisk the cherry liquid into the hot cream mixture …

when it’s incorporated…pour over finely chopped chocolate

add a pinch of salt…

Whisk ’till melted & glossy!

Pour into a serving bowl and chill for a couple of hours.

Assemble your favorite coatings…

…good cocoa powder (sifted)…

toasted & chopped mixed nuts…

smoked sea salt…

Go crazy here…with inventive toppings!

And then…let your guests

dive in & get a little dirty!

They will love it…

Tea strainers make sifting a breeze!

And unbleached baking parchment makes for easy clean up!

Fluted silver candy cups…

…add a festive touch…(if they make it into the cups…)

Set it all out on a cool tray….

Grab some spoons…

…and let your guests ~ scoop away!

How fun…

Don’t forget to wash it down with a little more Vin Santo!

Now…These truffles are perfectly rustic…not

perfectly formed…

Just a gorgeous glob of cherry infused chocolate

rolled in all sorts of goodness

But I promise…

Your guests...

won’t mind!
