Just in time for the weekend…
my Maple Martini recipe!
Nutty, maple goodness…in a glass.
I start by rimming the glass with
a little crushed, pure maple candy,
which I found at Wold Market.
Dip the rim into
vermont style maple syrup and then the crushed candy
pieces, freeze. Here’s the
Simple Maple Syrup recipe for the martini and it really is simple.
* * *
Ingredients:
1/4th cup vanilla sugar
(TIP: While you can purchase vanilla sugar…
I make my own, using the leftover vanillabean pods
from my baking projects. Pop the pods into a sugar canister and let them
hangout for a few days. Remove the pods and your granulated sugar
will be infused with vanilla goodness!)
1/2 cup water
1/2 teaspoon of maple extract
Method ~
Simmer the sugar and water on the stove top,
stirring occassionaly, just until the sugar is dissolved.
stir in the maple extract, chill.
(Note: You will have leftovers!
So Maple Martinis on repeat!)
And now for the Maple Martini!
1 tablespoon simple maple syrup
1 shot good vodka
1.5 tablespoons apple cider
splash of Grand Marnier
ice
Combine all of the ingredients in a shaker and
give it a go!
Pour mixture into that chilled glass, rimmed with maple sugar.
Garnish with one of my maple bar bites…if you like. I told you I had ‘adult’
plans for these bites!
Cheers,
Monica – That looks SOOOOOO good! You seriously need to do a book….food, drinks, recipes…. Don’t even need a photographer or stylist. You can do it all!!! I love this maple martini….very autumnal.
