Upscale Camping ~

Love  cooking & entertaining

outdoors, especially now, that

I’ve dressed up our little rustic

outdoor kitchen corner.

It started with that freestanding

BBQ back there (love), sans

wings, to make room for

this  (floor model sale!)! two-tiered,

wood & zinc topped island with casters!

It’s my unfitted  kitchen.

I set the two, at a classic ‘L’ and already,

I’ve got that ‘kitchen feel’  going.

 I pulled in these inexpensive

industrial style metal stools and

topped them with cushy, tufted pillows

with crisp white piping, from

a discount store. Check

out the flip side!

Kinda fun.

Thought the kitchen corner needed an earthy

backdrop and this rusty metal arch

was just the thing. For now,

I’ve tied on a basket,

filled with fresh

herbs…ready to be plucked and

plopped into my next dish!

Below, I lined up three,

rather formal  ceramic urns,

filled with thick & bushy rosemary.

Love the juxtaposition of the

rustic & the refined.

The beverages are on ice…in

this cool, vintage, galvanized seed tray!

The disheveled sunflowers provide a floppy

pop  of color. The vintage child’s fishing

creel holds our cutlery.

More earthiness, with this

antique bread board.

I know it’s not

fancy, as outdoor kitchens go..but

I want to feel like I’m actually cooking outdoors!

I  like to call it, upscale  camping! I’m on

the hunt for lighting…a petite chandelier perhaps?

Upscale camping gone glam! Hmmm…I’ll

be back,
