They’re Here!

Our pantry cabinets

are in the house!!!



Isn’t this a handsome piece!

I adore the cutlery cubbies!

You?


and the ‘old school’ casters!

The rest of the cabinets,


are spread out,

on the dining room floor,

patiently waiting their turn.

They will be painted on site.

The exterior paint color,

will be this Fabulous

Farrow & Ball,

gray, called Down Pipe,

with an interior color, of

French Gray.

But there is still one last

detail to decide…

the screens,

on the display doors!

I’m forgoing glass,

(We already have several glass doors in the pantry)

in favor of screen material.

Remember,

this a service cabinet.

I really want our pantry to have

that ‘Upstairs, Dowstairs’ feel.

So think…old pie safe!

Back in the day, the screens

allowed the baked goods to have ventilation,

while keeping hungry kids and unwanted critters, at bay!

A trip to one of my favorite hardware stores,

yielded these options.

And I’ve made my decision.

I’ll show you where we are on this project,

‘at the end of the day.’
