Pink B~l~u~s~h
In love with
the luscious color of
pink grapefruit. I also adore
its tart, tangy-sweet
taste. Perfect for
sorbet!
Especially,
when you combine the
freshly squeezed
juices, (love the old-school juicer)
segments & zest
with a little
pink champagne
and
vanilla sugar.
It’s effervescently refreshing,
And of course, there is the
‘vitamin C’ thing.
A spoonful or two is delightful
between courses.
I’m serving it at our next
Girls Night In at Monica’s.
Promise, your guests will be…
tickled pink,
Monica

Ingredients ~
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup pink champagne
1 cup vanilla sugar
1 cup freshly squeezed Pink Grapefruit juice
1 tablespoon Pink Grapefruit zest & a few segments
Preparation ~
Bring the water, pink champagne, vanilla sugar, ( I make my own) zest &
segments to a boil in a pan. Pull from the
heat and let it cool, strain & chill.
Pour the liquid
into your ice cream maker per the
manufacturer’s instructions. Let it whir away, then
cover the pinkish-orange slush tightly
and pop into the ice box.
Enjoy.
