Happy First Day of

Spring ~

  YES, Spring has finally

  sprung!

(Never mind the Seattle rain…)

I’m celebrating with a simple, FRESH &

 NATURAL spring-time

table. It has all  the pretty things I

love , flowers in fun,

recycled vases &

plenty of fragrance…

I wish you could breath in

the intoxicating  bouquet of

hyacinth,

fresh curry & chives.

Seriously a~m~a~z~i~n~g!

(They need a blog App for this!)

Fabulous fragrance

aside,

this spring table starts with layering  & ticking!

On the bottom layer, this rather ornate  paper placemat from

CAKE Kitchen Papers, which I embellished….just

a little :)  Then I layered on simple

napkins with a periwinkle ticking pattern

(Wrinkles & all!)

Love the contrast of styles.

For the cheese  course, I placed an

 old Italian cheese

paddle at each place-setting. Love the

mix of the worn  & the refined.

Next came white French  dishes,

topped with these

 fun utensil holders, in the

same periwinkle

ticking fabric. I asked

my talented  sister Linda, if she could sew up

a batch, from an extra napkin, for an event I am

working on. Love putting our own  spin on

something already made!

She did a beautiful

job, as usual!! I marked them (temporarily) with an

‘M’ …

I layered in amethyst

glass,

striped straws &

slender baguettes, in

those La Famiglia Design

  burlap bags,

my sister Linda and I make.

And I couldn’t resist  these cloud-like

cookies, on a bed of fluffy

coconut! That’s it,  for my first day of

spring  table…

 How are you ushering

in…

Spring?
