Luscious Golden Lemon ~
Thought our Easter celebration could use a pretty little
citrus- cocktail infusion. So, I came up with this
signature cocktail:
The Meyer Lemon-Thyme Drop.
(You know me…with my herb obsessions!)
It’s super simple. The magnificent Meyer, gives the
libation a golden richness and there is
just a hint of earthy thyme, thanks to a
a batch of my
lemon-thyme simple syrup.
It’s half vanilla sugar, half
not…with a few springs of fresh thyme
thrown in. Add good Vodka, lots of ice…
shake and
pour. Love this gorgeous &
vintage, gold rimmed
glass, from my sister, Barbara, especially
encrusted with jewel-like
Meyer Lemon sugar!!! Oh MY!
Mother nature got it right when she
created the lovely lemon.
Cheers!!

- Combine sugar, vanilla sugar, thyme sprigs & zest of half a lemon with the water, in a sauce pan.
- Simmer for a few until the sugar dissolves. Strain.

Hi, Monica – Thanks for taking time out to post this recipe. I bet it is amazingly yummy. Looks really good. You should write a cocktails book. And get Stan (?) to photograph it.
Have a wonderful Easter :)
