A fresh new vibe is slowly beginning to take shape in our
oyster painted living room situated right off the entry.
First, I’m going for gold with a pair of chic…gold metal occasional tables. {LOVE}
Picked them up on a fun girlfriend shopping adventure! They are so versatile! For now,
I’ve topped the tables with small white marble pastry boards from our kitchen.
I’m all about repurposing…plus, I like the gold & white against the white hide rug.
(We will see just how long this arrangement lasts though…a girl’s gotta make pies!)
I brought in more bits of gold with a mid-century Italian tray I picked up antiquing with my dear
friend Jeanne, in Orange County. I also added a sophisticated vintage ice bucket I found on the
fore mentioned shopping adventure in Seattle.
Pink pom pom mums add a bright and unexpected dash of fall color.
What can I say, I love the pairing of pink & gold!
Next, I picked up a pretty little mid-century inspired,
blown-glass perch table lamp, from West Elm.
Adore the shape, warmth and yummy rose-gold colored base!
Light on….
Light off.
I also spotted this zebra print pillow cover on the West Elm
clearance table for under $10 bucks!
How could I NOT?
The pattern adds energy and a fresh layer to the room. Now I’m looking for the perfect throw and
accessories to go with. I worked our existing gold & antique mirror table into the mix
and added our gold mesh accent pillow to a soft blush pink leather and hobnail trimmed chair.
The oversized shell in the corner of the room still needs some fall ‘love’…
My dear friend Janice, filled hers with plush velvet pumpkins! I might do the same!
All and all, I really love the feminine and eclectic vibe of our living room.
Might just need to curl up with a cappuccino and a good book.
BTW, I have lots to share with you! Been busy working on a very
exciting project that has so many fun elements!
Be back with more soon!
Amazing!! Dang! Why didn’t I arm wrestle you for those tables! Ha! Good score along with Monica’s magical touch!
Wait!! I forgot the zebra pillow…L-O-V-E! That’s calling me name….
@Dani, Ha! You are too funny! That was a great little shopping adventure! Thank you!
xxo Monica
My, those tables are a real score – they’re fantastic! I see many possibilities for those, but I do rather like them topped with the marble pastry boards! I have one of those and I love it! And, that lamp as well as the zebra pillow are very glam! Great finds!
