It’s BLUE Friday! Seattle Seahawk Blue!
OMG! I’m so excited!
Super Bowl Sunday can’t get here soon enough!
Come Sunday, the Seahawk nation will flock to television screens
big & small…to cheer on their HAWKS!
That’s when the Seattle #GoHawks take on…some team from Denver.
Anyway, I wanted to celebrate the Super Bowl with a SUPER simple and effervescent blue dessert.
I call it Seahawk Champagne Slush. It’s a grown-up take on the
slurpee.
It starts with 1/4th cup pretty Blue Curacao liqueur.
Then I add:
1-1/2 cups dry champagne, 1-1/2 cups vanilla bean simple syrup
{ Simple Syrup: 3/4 cup granulated sugar to 3/4 cup water,
plus 1 vanilla bean scraped. Simmer on the stovetop, strain & chill }
and 1 cup freshly squeezed pink grapefruit juice.
Ya just mix it all up in a pitcher…
pour it into a shallow dish and pop it in
the deep-freeze for a few hours or overnight. This is so simple!
Once frozen, scrape it with a fork to create the
Seahawk slush and
spoon into fun little glasses with striped straws.
Isn’t it a cool shade of blue?!
BTW, loving the Touchdown Placemats I picked up
at Metropolitan Market! And why not?
This has been an incredible Seahawk season,
the 12th man, #LOUDER, the build up to Super Bowl Sunday,
Sherman, #HustleLikeRussell, Derrick Coleman Jr., #BeastMode, #LegionOfBoom,
#PercyHaveMercy, the no.1 rated defense in America pitted against the no. 1 rated offense…
It’s historic and Super Bowl Sunday is going to be
EPIC!
Okay, I’m praying Seattle will be poppin’ champagne corks for real!
Good luck & God bless Seattle Seahawks,
from Kirkland, Washington USA,
Love it! GO HAWKS!!!!!!!!!!
