On Safari ~
A mosquito
netting canopy
and
a graceful,
long-necked
friend, greeted guests
at gorgeous mom-to-be…
Jillian’s ~ baby shower.
As the fun
‘flash-card’
invitation
states, ‘G’ IS for
Giraffe but it’s also for
baby Grace,
who is due to
arrive soon. So we
rolled out the chalk welcome mat
(imagine the inexpensive party possibilities! Nice job Natalie!)
at Nona Linda’s, beautiful home.
Putting on the
Safari themed shower,
was very much
a family affair. So happy to have a
hand in it! Right off the top, the
celebration had a little jungle
monkey business
going on.
(Nice to have a ‘graphic artist’ in house. Thank you Ron!)
Guests grabbed their drink tags,
at the door and
headed to the
Monkey
Bar, which was
brimming with
jungle
fever.
We gave the jungle
decor
a feminine touch
with
pops of pink.
Linda, the fantastic sewist,
stitched up the
runners and
the cutest little outfit
for baby
Grace.
A friend, added a little
baby bling! Of course,
we turned the ensemble into
shower art! We used
a mix of
inexpensive giraffe
patterns &
colors…
tucking in Jillian’s
favorite
flower,
the African Daisy.
The jungle fare
was
fabulous…
(Linda cooked up a storm!)
And I made a batch of
salty sweet &
savory
takeaway gifts
for mere
peanuts. I hope they
didn’t ‘forget’ them!
This baby shower was definitely a
‘walk on the wild side.’
Now all we need is…
xxo Auntie,
How very cute!! Baby Grace certainly will be one lucky girl to arrive upon such a fun and creative family! Does she need another Auntie??
xoxox Janice
Oh….I’m sure she would love an Auntie Janice! :) xxo M
That is sooooooo cute! Who’s the artist? The food looks fabulous too! I’ll be posting about a beach themed baby shower soon! :) melaine
Thank you!! The ‘graphic artist’ is Grandpa Ron. It’s not his actual job…but he can create amazing computer graphic art!
Can’t wait for the beachy shower!
