Gone Painting ~
Our buff family room walls
are going…
g~r~e~y!
I’ve cleared everything
away, so that my favorite
painter can do his thing.
I wanted a little family room
drama and I think this
rich grey should do the trick.
Here’s a swatch.
It’s called, River Rock and
it’s available at Haley’s Cottage.
The grey will make our
warm silver and bronze mirror
really pop and
it should minimize, the gigantic
wall mount, black television
the Mr. brought home.
This room is waterside and it
gets tons of light, so it
can handle the darker accent walls.
Plus, I love the classic combo of
camel & gray,
The color is going up now and
it rocks. Can’t wait to style the room
and share the ‘after photos’ with you.
I’ve picked up a few, new
grey accent pieces and
rearranged others.
But for now,
you know what they say,
caution….
wet paint,
Monica
Can’t wait to see the new paint job on Thursday.
Thank you for the paint & inspiration!
Monica
Hi Monica – Your new colors for the family room caught my eye. Especially the framed mirror. I’ve been trying to figure out how to tone down Grandma Patricelli’s ornate large gold picture frame (vintage 1930’s?)- it is coming out of storage – I love the two tones in your frame and I’m going to find a way to replicate it. Your designs are fabulous. Thanks, Jolene
@ Jolene ~ Thank you! Modern Masters has a warm silver opaque color that is fantastic. It’s available at Daly’s in Bellevue.
Would love to see the before and after. It’s so cool that you are reinventing Grandma’s very vintage mirror.
