Easy ~ Earthy ~ Elegance
Spent a very nice morning, pulling together a little
Thanksgiving tablescape, at the beautiful home of
our dear friends, Dan and Pat.
Pat is a fabulous cook and throws
inspired dinner parties. It was so much
fun collaborating with her, on her
Thanksgiving table. We are dangerous
together.
We started with this worn, vintage,
European dough bowl. What a
find.
Love the patina and the metal patch. Plus, it’s
so versatile.
I can see it overflowing with
pine boughs and ornaments at Christmas.
But first, Thanksgiving. We filled the wood bowl with
gourds, in interesting shapes, muted, non-traditional
colors, nuts and petite
corn stalks. What could be more
‘Thanksgiving’ than that?
A plain white tablecloth makes an elegant
back drop and white plates, showcase her
fantastic food. Love Pat’s ruffled, rust colored,
metal chargers.
White napkins are folded, simply. Elegant
napkin rings are adorned with luxurious,
custom, hand-dyed silk yarn and
slipped into place. (Pat knits amazing pieces.)
We tucked in
small bits of fall and
added a hint of burlap.
We used water glasses for
votive holders and embellished them just
a little.
Tall candlesticks make a nice
perch for small pumpkins and add
height to the table.
Pat has beautiful, etched stemware, so we
simply tucked in
seasonal
sentiments.
Three little pumpkins, in
pretty fluted candleholders, march
down the kids’ table.
All that’s left is the
cooking.
Thank you Pat!
And Happy Thanksgiving!
Here’s hoping you
With
&
&
This
Thanksgiving.
Very…
….that I will.
Happy Thanksgiving,
Monica
Absolutely beautiful! Love it all!
